Solved Streaming video, not there, after working well for 8 days

I acquired, 9 days ago, a new HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 8. All went well, getting the laptop and Windows 8, up and running; for 8 days. Yesterday I lost online streaming video; all else is working as should be ~~ either online or offline. This is, either an HP problem, or a Microsoft (Windows 8) problem; when I access internet through same online connection, with my "old" Acer Aspire laptop with Vista, streaming video works fine. With the new HP Pavilion, audio works fine on all these screens, that I don't get the video ; ......................hoping for an answer on this.....................

I've, for several years, read a lot of bad criticque about IE ; which is one of the reasons, about 4 years ago, I started experimenting with Firefox, which I came to like very much. And then being stuck with the latest IE with Windows 8, for the few days that it seemed to work "alright", until yesterday ~~ no streaming video ; AND having to deal with the reality, that Firefox browser will not configure with Windows8 ("yet").............soooooooooooo ; I just now downloaded Google Chrome, and my streaming video is fine ; it is absolutely like it's supposed to be.
