For some reason I had the impression that IE 10 Metro would have access to my favorites.
I must have been mistaken??

I press F-4 and a small "Menu" came up at the top but now it won't come up anymore. I have yet to see my favorites in the metro version. When I click in he address bar I see Frequent web sites at the bottom but no Favorites.

I get it.
I thought IE metro would use the Favorites I already have.
And where does IE metro store these favorites if I want to back them up?

IE10 Metro and IE10 desktop share the same Favorites. Do you have Favorites in IE10 desktop that do not show up in IE10 Metro?

Favorites for both are saved in the C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites folder.

IE is adding Favorites to my Favorites but they are not being displayed above the address bar like the article says. I know tis because I switch to desktop and the saved web sites are there. I do see 'Pinned' and 'Frequent' but no 'Favorites'.

Could you post screenshots showing your Favorites in IE desktop, and your opened Favorites folder to see if it may help? Be sure to black out any favorites you do not want the public to see first.

Now another issue.
I saved the screen shot of my Favorites but there is no way to browse on my computer. I click on the insert Image icon and select Forms computer. But, there is no "Browse " button or field for the path.
I have many Favorites I've been using in IE 9 and IE 10 Desktop.
I have changed the Location of the Favorites so I can back them up with all my other data. But, I did move the Location back to the default and it did no good.

Are you able to upload and attach the screenshots using OPTION TWO with the paperclip icon instead?

If you have IE9 as well in Windows 8, and moved your Favorites folder, then that could be why they are not showing up in IE10 Metro. It only gets them from IE10 desktop using the default C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites folder location.

I needed to select "Advanced". Then I got the Browse.
Not sure what you mean by opened Favorites folder.

The C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites folder. This is where favorites are saved at.

Are you scrolling the bar under "Frequent" in IE10 Metro to the right to see if Favorites may just be off screen? You'll need to hover under the icons to see the scroll bar.

I move moved the Favorites back to the default and IE 10 still isn't seeing it. IE 10 desktop is seeing the Favorites fine even in the changed location.

It may take a bit and a few restarts since you just moved the user folder back to it's default C.

Yeah, you'll only have the scroll bar if you have enough Pinned, Frequent, and/or Favorites to go past the screen.

You may need to export and import your Favorites in IE10 desktop to toggle them to be available in IE10 Metro.

Internet Explorer - Import and Export Favorites - Windows 7 Forums

In addition, double check using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to make sure that your C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites folder got moved back properly.

Yes it does. But it doesn't show in metro.

Ok. When you get back at it, try adding the favorite while in Metro instead to see if it also appears in desktop. :)
