Solved How to open local disk files in IE 10

I want to open a pdf file in IE 10 ON THE DESKTOP. Seems there once was a way to browse to a local file in the IE address bar. (Or maybe that was firefox?)

Anyway, if there's a way to do that in IE 10 I would sure like to know about it.

Click on File\Open\Browse...

I believe you'll have to have something like Acrobat Reader installed for this to work in IE10 desktop.
