iE 10 problem

This hard to explain but when I type in HP.com in the address of iE 10 from my desktop it just flashes back and fourth and goes no where. When I use iE 10 in the app section it works when typing in HP.com. The weird thing it does the flashing thing on firefox too but not on Chrome. When I say Flashing thing I mean in the address bar it tries to connect to hp but go back and fourth like it is trying and fails. Has anyone experienced this.

I did some work and disabled all ad on in iE10 that didn't work but disabling protected mode in iE10 worked. Now I have to figure out why protected mode is causing this to only HP.com
