web pages not loading properly

Same problems here. Thought it was Firefox only. Tried Chrome and same problem exactly as shown in first image above. Youtube does it, futureshop.ca and various other sites for me. It's a brand new 7 series Samsung laptop. This is my first experience using Windows 8 so I'm still in the learning stages but my PC knowledge is advanced and can't figure out yet what is causing this. Other references online had some suggestions (firefox settings, load pages automatically, font settings, etc) but none have worked for me.

I noticed some references regarding Norton, my laptop came loaded with it but I removed it right away (I use ESET) and even used the Norton tool to fully uninstall all traces of Norton. Could it have missed something since it's a relatively new OS?

For reference, I am running 3 extensions in both: lastpass, xmarks, and adblock but I tried disabling them in Firefox and the problem persisted.

    This is frustrating.

    More information,

I have found a thread that displays others with literally the exact symptoms I am experiencing and it's becoming readily apparent (at least in our cases) that it's a 'Samsung' laptop issue.

Mine is a new 7 series NP700G7C-T01CA. Problem occurred right out of the box after installing said browsers. The following threads (1 for FF the other for Chrome) both make several references to Samsung hardware:

    Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/qu...#answer-393340

    Chrome: Google Groups[51-75-false]

Here's what I've tried, some suggestions found within the above threads but none of them have solved the issue for me (or most others)

    1) reinstalling the browsers
    2) disabling all add-ons
    3) disabling ESET
    4) clearing JAVA cache
    5) clearing browser history/data/cache
    6) completely uninstalling and resinstalling JAVA (both x86 + x64)
    7) trying FF beta version called "Nightly"
    8) ran the Norton Removal Tool 4 times
    9) changed to a new user profile in Chrome

Example below of how pages are loading up (twitter.com). Another symptom is gmail just hanging on the loading screen.

    Hi all
I'm experiencing exactly the same problems as the rest of you with really slow loading times on certain pages (not all). It seems that my computer have a problem with external scripts on certain pages and loading wheel just spins up in the browser window. Sometimes it does not even load google but it pops up an error page.

I have a brand new Acer Aspire V3 571g and usually use Firefox. I have updated all my drivers, uninstalled all unnecessary programs and antivirus. Some said that it was the power options in the computor that could interfear but no, no. I'm getting desperate! There must be a solution to this.

Don't think this is just a Samsung issue. I had the same problem with Chrome on an HP system that I upgraded to Win8 on the day it became available. It was so bad I just switch to IE10 which worked well. A couple of weeks back I upgraded my desktop to a new HP Pavilion with Win8 pre-installed. Since then Chrome has worked perfectly. Wish I knew why, but still I'm glad to be back with Chrome.

I was also having speed and connectivity issues out of the box with my new Samsung 7 but this is a different issue than the one discussed here in this thread. As for my connection problems, it was an issue with my DOCSYS 3 SMS Router provided by my ISP. A few settings were changed and that problem was solved.

As for the issue I mentioned above, I have found a fix for my case! It was indeed related to Samsung software pre-installed on this laptop. Instructions found elsewhere said to uninstall them and then clear your browsers cache's (both firefox and chrome) which I had but initially the problem persisted. The key is to use CCleaner to FULLY clear all cache's as simply doing it within the browser apparently leaves remnants. So upon using CCleaner, I rebooted and it's been days without the issue anymore (before the issue would appear within minutes of use). This method was successful for me and hopefully will help other Samsung users.

For those with other brands (there have been reports with ASUS for example) again people found fixes by removing pre-installed brand software and completely clearing the cache's with CCleaner.

For my samsung the software I removed were SWUpdate and Support Center. You can always re-install them if you need them for something specific and then uninstall them again but I don't think I'll ever need too.

I had the same problem you have. Go to this website: http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/74556-enable-disable-tcp-auto-tuning.html

enter the command in bold lettering into an elevated command prompt (RUN AS ADMIN) and you should be golden.

IDK why this worked for me, but it fixed all my network problems.
