any way to add school email that is based on Google?

is there anyway I can add this campus email to the Windows 8 mail app? Fresno State (California State University, Fresno) switched their email to Google awhile back.

I don't know how to add it to the list. the email is name@csufresno.edu.

here's where the web login is:

    https://email.csufresno.edu/

I tried to add a google account that had this email but I forgot what the error message was.

this is not a regular Google address, you have to ask this info to your school. It's a Google Apps account not a Gmail , they probably use imap not pop. ask your school, it's them not us who know they mail server setting

Just to let you know, pop accounts are not supported in Windows 8 mail app if that's what it turns out to be. Windows live mail and calendar I think will work. Use the Windows Mail and Calendar tutorials from SevenForums.

POP is not support. If you select POP and then click on Connect, you'll get a message saying that the app doesn't support POP, and to use IMAP or AES instead.

a website showed an ingenious way to get around this. send your POP mail to outlook.com or hotmail.com or gmail.com. then add this outlook/hotmail/gmail account to the mail app.
