Update 3035583 is shown as "important" and "to resolve issues in Windows", but if you ask for "more information" it tells you that the update installs the "Get Windows 10" app. So if you got rid of that app, this update will give it back to you -- and, who knows, it might also re-enable the "automatic" upgrade to windows 10 too. So if you don't want Windows 10, then you don't want update 3035583.

Yes, I did that a few weeks ago. But I'm afraid it might be RE-ENABLED by this new update 3035583.

Dragon Drop, do not install the update, "hide" the update. I used Brink's "Upgrade to Windows 10 Update - Enable or Disable in Windows 7 or 8.1 - Windows 10 Forum" using the "Disable" feature which removed files for all Windows 10 stuff that was on my PC. Brinks instructions for disabling is very precise. However, I also received the update yesterday for 3035583 (which surprised me) --- knew what it was for and "hid" it - don't know if Microsoft will keep pushing that update so watch your updates very closely. If you still get the 3035583 after hiding the first time, hide it again. Don't ever install it.

Thanks for the good advice. I didn't install it, of course. But how do you "hide" an update? I've never done that yet.

It's OK, I found the answer and I hid the update. thanks again. :)
