Last week, Windows would not install the latest updates (25). I posted on the MS Answers forum and was getting help from a moderator, but he seems to have disappeared.* He had me post System Information and System Log runs and update some drivers, and that's where things stand. When I run Update now, it shows "Preparing to Install" and the slider moves across part way, but the process freezes immediately. Even the Stop Installation and Minimze for the window are unresponsive. I can close it out with Task Manager or wait and eventually it returns an error message. See the screenshots. Turning off anti-malware has no effect. Some weeks back, Skype stopped updating and I had to get a direct install file, but I thought there were Windows updates since then. So I'm stuck. Any ideas? Win 8.1 Pro x64. Thanks,
