Dear All,
I just purchased a laptop windows 10 with poor RMP hard drive(5400).
I want to transfer that windows to my SSD.
Is there any way that we can do that?
THanks

Yes. You can use Macrium Reflect to "clone" the contents of the HDD to the SSD -- but the SSD has to be at least as large as the HDD to do this. Cloning means making an exact copy, and it's not exact if it's smaller.

Another approach is more work and involves using an external drive. In this case, you make an image of your HDD to the external drive using the option: "Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows". Use also use the option to create a boot USB stick or CD. Then, you boot from the USB stick or CD and use the option to Restore from the external drive to your internal drive. This will replace the partitions on the internal drive from those saved to the external drive.

To use this second option, the SSD must be large enough to hold all the used space on the HDD, but does not need to be as large as the entire HDD.
