My brother gave me a brand new ASUS X55 notebook computer. Never used. In box original packaging and everything. I have been using it for a few weeks. On several occasions when I turn it off it will prompt me to update and turn off. When I turn it back on it will configure windows get stuck at 96% and revert changes. The current OS is Windows 8. Can someone help me figure out what is going on here? How I can stop or disable it? Will it affect any future windows updates? Thanks!
