Any idea of when I'll get my reserved copy of windows 10?
So I reserved my copy of windows 10 awhile ago, but I still haven't been prompt to install the update. Does anyone have any idea of when it'll tell me to install windows 10?

Eh, once you give a play with for a bit and get used to where everything is at, it's not bad at all IMO.

It didnt run as smoothly as 8.1, so I switched back. I'll install it again in a couple months or so to see if it runs any better on my laptop.

Usually a clean install works best. To bad you had to upgrade the first time to be able to activate the free offer of Window 10. Now that you have, you will be able to clean install Windows 10 on the PC when you like without entering a key to have it activate.

Isn't a clean install just the operating system and drivers? if so, isn't that what the free windows 10 thing is anyways?

With a clean install you'll loose everything on the disk whereupon windows will be installed.
It is a great way to avoid problems after an upgrade, but if you don't want to loose important and personal files you need to make a backup first.
