Download and not install update
How can you download and not install an update from Microsoft? I ask this, because I have auto update turned off and I want to download Windows 10 on the 29th, but not install it yet.

You can choose when to install W10 after it downloads.
This is from an insider email I just got a little while ago,
After July 29, when Windows 10 is ready for your device, it will download in the background. You’ll then get a notification to schedule your upgrade right away or at another time that’s convenient for you.

Thanks derekimo. I got the same e-mail after I did this post. I changed updates to download but let me in stall them, but that still doesn't let me save them. I tried that this morning with Defender update. the only option was to install. Then it downloaded it again.

I think that's the wrong type of update to be practicing the save option on.

I should have worded that differently to clarify that saving has never been an option through windows update.
You probably wont on the 10 upgrade either, just a scheduling option.
