I recently received the notification to Get Windows 10 in my 8.1 Taskbar. After reserving my W10 upgrade, I chose to hide the notification icon, only to have it show up again after my computer had been shut down overnight, and powered up the next morning. Seeing it as maybe a fluke, I attempted to hide it again, only to have to repeat the process the next time the computer was started up. I just want this thing out of the way...
