Transfer Windows 8.1 SL to another laptop

Hello guys!
Such type of question arose before me: how to transfer my Windows 8.1 into new laptop? I bought laptop with preinstalled Windows 8.1 Single language.
But I heard that activation now is attached to PC hardware (fixed in UEFI). Is this possible to save my license while trasferring Windows to new laptop?

No - you can't a transfer OEM license to new laptop. If you get a new laptop with 7 or 8 installed you'll be able to upgrade it to 10 for free though.

You can't do that. You are stuck with the OEM version and it is only legally licensed for the PC it was delivered with.

If you "convert" it to a full version that involves buying a new full version.

Transfer oem licence no. But if you want you can transfer your settings and files using Windows Easy Tranfer(of course syncing both to account and OneDrive will do it too)

You can switch from OEM to Retail, if you have a valid Retail product code. My laptop came with a Windows 8.0 factory OEM install. The Windows 8.1 core code is in the BIOS. That doesn't stop me from installing another version and using a retail key to activate it. It's now running Windows 8.1 Pro. When I got it all I did was type in a 8.0 Pro key in add features to go to 8.1 Pro Retail. Now I just use a PID.txt file on my install media to bypass the auto detection of the OEM key and clean install 8.1 Pro. If you have a Retail install on another PC, that you aren't going to use anymore, You could transfer the license to the laptop. After that you cannot use it on the other PC though. Retail keys can only be used on one PC at a time.

Depends on what you want to do. There are Pro Packs that will let you upgrade to 8.1 Pro just by entering the supplied product code in add features. In your original post you talked about moving an install from one PC to another. You need to elaborate on that some more with more detail. As mentioned, you can't move a factory OEM install from one PC to another. If you are logged in with a Microsoft live ID a lot of stuff can be synced from one PC to the other.
