Hi guys,

I'm running in some problems here. I'm using the ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer mainboard, which has a special, overclockable USB port for running older usb devices (especially mice) on 500hz. Unfortunately, the overclocking software doesn't work and after searching for a solution, I found the following thread:

PSA for Windows 8.1 Asrock z77/(maybe z68) fatal1ty mouse port polling rate force

This thread suggests to uninstall the updates kb2967917 and kb2962409, but when trying to uninstall kb2967917 i get the following error:

After contacting the OP of the aforementioned thread, he told me he had no difficulties whatsoever uninstalling the update.

Can you guys help me out? Or is the update crucial to my system?

The message does indicate it is crucial but you may be able to use System Restore back to a date before the update installed. Looking at my Installed Updates on Win8.1 I show it as installed on 7/18/2014, could be it has been superseded by a newer version.
Here's a list of the 'fixes' included:

I recently reinstalled windows 8.1 (like a week ago), but seeing that the update was installed on the 21. November 2014, it seems like it came preinstalled with the .iso I downloaded from microsoft? I'll try out your suggestion as soon as I'm home from work though, thanks.
