Hello, please I would like to know how to uninstall Windows Defender updates to free SSD space, because i can´t find the update to uninstall in the Installed Updates section(that you get to by clicking unistall updates/programmes).
I only see updates like KB and such...
But SpaceSniffer is showing, that i have 477mb ocupied thanks to windows defender- but i can´t seem to be able to get rid of it. I don´t want to uninstall it(i know it can be done with CMD) i just want to uninstall the updates! And even remove the scans if possible. Thanks
I'm not sure that you can uninstall them like that.
If you haven't already, you could use the tutorial below to cleanup old out of date Windows Updates that have been superseded by later updates to help free up some space.
But the most I can free is just a few MBs - and 11mbs for the Windows Defender- but the size of that folder is 500mb.
Uhh..
And how can one delete the scans folder aswell?
As you can see i just installed windows. Sick... I don´t want to install it 3 times a day especially on my SSD.
I installed the Windows about 20 times and have written 4000GB onto my SSD in 3 months =(
Halp please =d

edit : also , Microsoft Rep told me to go into Windows Update instead of Uninstall programs - and there I was able to see the updates - for example kb2267602
but i can´t uninstall it! It simply isn´t in the uninstall section as above(1st post)
Done: solved by running Temp File Cleaner (not making any advertising)
Just for fun info : The MS rep told me that it might harm my pc lmao(deleting defender) I got 100 times better antivirus now. I was there for 1 hour and they would not solve it there- when i came with solution - they made me look stupid.
(btw:allready used the program even daily on numerous PCs (5 in our household))

And i have run the program with Defender COMPLETELY turned off...
