Hi,

Today there a few updates, more than usual. They fail with Errors 800706BE 800706BA

Looking at this formu(s) found a recent thread and did everythng in that tread, but still, my system is not updating.
http://www.eightforums.com/windows-updates-activation/40723-code-800706ba.html

--> sfc /scannow - no errors

--> Dism /Online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - no change in behaviour

Avira Anti Virus - clean
MalwareBytes - clean

Suspicions:
1. Got tricked into the Microsoft Account when testing skype - reverted back by 'removing' the Microsoft Account login
2. Excessive sun radiation activity (really?)

Thanks !!!!

Hi and Thank you !

Your Instructions cleared all the errors, but I noticed today that Windows THINKS that I have no internet, when I do.

On the Network and Sharing Center I get : Not connected. "the dependency service or group failed to start

Windows Update Seems to be stuck downloading Updates....

I tried:
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset reset.log

Restarted, and still the same...

Weird?

Hi, you can try Option Three in this tutorial to see if it can solve your problem Windows Update - Reset - Windows 7 Help Forums

Good luck, werty

I think the fixes did the Internet issue, as before, the Updates were downloading fine.

I suspectDism /Online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - screwed the internet connection. It works bot it shows as broken.

After trying EVERYTHING possible found out:

1. Problem due to the fact that I accidentally attached my user to Microsoft Account ! me@hotmail.com
2. Upon realizing a couple of days later, I disconnected my user from me@hotmail.com
3. Problem IS a result of this activity
4. None of the account fix tools worked
5. It was no longer possible to re-attach the account or detach.
6. Many services were no longer starting due to wrong permissions

FIX:
Restore partition from the day just BEFORE having attached account to me@hotmail.com

RESULT:
Back to normal
