Solved Activation of reinstall, where are the missing numbers?

I have two computers, both Asus, both Windows 8.1. I bought a win 8.1 disc out of frustration in order to reinstall. When I went to reinstall, the activation code I had retrieved from system information was only four groups of digits instead of five, and the install disk wanted five sets to even work. Am I able to change this computer back to the original code with only four sets of digits so I can use the code that came with the install disk to reinstall my other computer? So tired of jumping through hoops. Thanks in advance!
