I have Windows 8.1 installed. One thing I have noticed is that Update take forever to download and install. I did the following:
Ran Windows Update Repair and found two problems which were fixed;
Ran Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup as errors were reported; and
Ran SFC/ Scannow which showed errors which could not be fixed. So I ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
Rebooted and ran SFC/ Scannow. All errors are gone.
Rebooted again. Ran Windows Update and still have a slow update download and installation. I have been running Windows since 3.1 and have never seen anything like this. Is this typical for Windows 8 or is there something else I can do.
Any logs that are needed will gladly be provided. Thanks!
