Problem with Win 8.1 Pro Build 9600 Activation

Hello and good morning.

I am starting a new company image using Win 8.1 64 ENT and when I try to activate windows it won't do anything and will take me directly to the metro apps. It does not matter which route I go to active it, will do the same thing every time. We use KMS licensing from Win 7 and Win 8. Could it be that the KMS licensing server is the issue? Because I am the only one having the issue..

Check if you connecting to your KMS server by running command prompt:

slmgr /dlv

if no KMS server listed ... then run:

slmgr.vbs /skms x.x.x.xppp

where x.x.x.x is the IP of the KMS server and pppp is the port (the default port value is 1688)

You my have to do an nslookup to find the server address.

I did that, issue was that once I "forced" in activating windows, I was unable to to customize windows to our needs.

I haven't known KMS activation to interfere with settings...either it activates or not.

Strange behaviour, nevertheless...
