Huh, English English. US, Canada, Aus etc. In school in Yugoslavia we learned British (so to speak) English than I used to frequent US Cultural Center in Belgrade to borrow Jhonny Cash records and some literature and was getting confused with Bonnet and Hood, Truck and Lorry, Trunk and Boot etc. Than I moved to Canada and had even more surprises there, mainly some french spelling of words that sound same. Those automatic dictionaries should take all those differences into account, auto-correct can make even worse havoc with that.
Than I had some Irish friends that introduced me to completely new vocabulary (and drinks) to say nothing about spelling. Than, there are Newfies (Canadians from Newfoundland) that can confuse even serious linguists. Jamaicans, I can understand whatever they write but listening to them reading same sentence I couldn't understand a word. Every language can have many spelling and pronunciations and windows are not taking that into account, not even close.
Lastly, there are some words that MS uses in windows and are not in their dictionary, like Taskbar (suggested Tanbark), malware (suggested Waldemar ???), those things should be in their dictionary one would think, eh ?
