Be careful when you install this update
This update introduces a hard block on Microsoft Security Essentials. A hard block prevents an application that is incompatible with Windows 8 Consumer Preview from running on the computer."

Hi there
if MSE isn't needed anyway I can't see whats wrong with the block. Having the security built in to the OS and running seamlessly is IMO ideal. -- Why should I schedule scans etc -- if the software is doing its job in proper real time these scans would be redundant anyway.

Interesting also that Ms regards W8 Consumer preview as an "Upgrade". - Maybe it IS serious about genuinely wanting to release the product soon -- although many corporates won't entertain the idea of a 2nd major OS upgrade after having just started to roll out W7.

Cheers
