First off, hello to everyone I'm new to the forum & Windows 8. I just bought an hp2000 that had been factory restored. I checked for updates. It needed 111. I let it download everything over night. Got up this morning to install the updates. It got to around 20%. Then I got the error message "failure configuring Windows updates reverting changes do not turn off computer" It has been on this screen for 2 hours. Read on Microsoft's website to hard reboot it. I tried it but it went back to the same screen. What do I need to do? Thanks in advance for any help.

With that many updates it is likely to fail and a long time to revert the changes. Let it run until finishes and then try to install the updates in batches of 5.
