Hello everyone,
Recently, I updated my HP laptop from windows 8 to windows 8.1. I got critical message from HP Support Assistant asking to update the drivers. I went to HP website, and see all the drivers specified for my laptop. I didnt get which one I have to install. I dont want to install unnecessary things that could harm the functionality of my laptop. Anyway, I opened the device manager in my laptop and checked the update for every driver. But, this message still appears to me. Any tips that can help me? Do you know the specified drivers I have to install? Or, Do you know a specific source I can use to know the needed drivers?
Thanks

There's nothing "unnecessary" about the drivers, every piece of HW needs one.

Ok. So how I can know which driver software I have to install? The critical message doesnt explain which drivers I need. I checked for the updates in the Device Manager. Is this enough, or I have to go to HP website and install directly form there?

Check in Device Manager for any exclamation marks with yellow triangles against any device, if you don't see any, you don't need to update any drivers.

And the message does not specify which drivers you are supposed to change ? Does it offers to download them and install too ? Like bummyfan said, drivers for devices marked as not working are a must to install, the rest you can ignore unless you are sure they are needed because of some problem.
