Windows 8.1 updates

I recieved a update for my laptop. The problem is that I try to turn it on and it gets passed the when windows starts screen but then it says "please wait" so i let go for a hour or so, when i return to it still says "Please wait" Then i tryed to reboot it and try to Safe Mode. It gets passed the please wait screen but now it say "Welcome" to my account with the white circle thingy and Somethimes it can login and other times to wont. Any solutions??

P.S When i do get in for a few mintues later it Says that it will restart (the Blue screen) it restarts then it get stuck at WELCOME Screen again!! What should i do!!

Work around for updates failing...

Some work arounds for failing updates in Windows 7, as I have not tried in Windows 8 are listed below:
1. Use Windows Update to select individual updates until the update that is the failing update is found.
2. Sometimes updates can be saved instead of being installed. These save able updates can be found by searching Microsoft.com. After saving the update, execute it.
