I dont know what else to do, I have posted about this now several times on the Microsoft and the Dell forum, but no one cares about it. I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro since mid January, two of my friends too, and they ran into this problem also a few times (not everytime though they did a windows update). The moment I installed the first Windows updates all problems began, the device with a high chance of about 60% reboots/crashs when waking it up from standby. The only workaround for this was to reset the device, install all Windows updates, and than it was working, until the next big patch day a few weeks later. After installing the patch days updates, the same problem instantly started to happen => reboot from standby. Only solution, again was to reset Windows, install all updates (now the new ones included of course), and it was working. Until the next patch day, causing the same thing to happen. I reset it again..., installed all updates, worked fine. Until today, because there was a patch day on 11.02.2014, and what do you think happened? Right.

The event log doesnt show anything of helping, just a critical event that the device wasnt shut down properly. This is reasonable of course, because it crashes out of standby and has no chance of logging what caused it.

I have not installed anything, no drivers, no software or whatever. It is always the Microsoft updates causing this. And a full reset + install fixes it, until the next patch day.
