Offline Windows Updates - Security problem

I usually download Update files and install offline. I just installed a batch of Windows Updates and Windows Security Updates (I can give a list if needed) and now can't install any more.
I get a message box
Updates.jpg
with no specific details.
I could try playing with setting in IE, but if anyone knows what I need to change I would appreciate knowing what.

Hey mate,

If you -absolutely- trust that they are correct and clean, you can click the arrow to show more details. Usually this provides an option to install anyway. Also, click the blue link and that may tell you how to skirt around the block. Hope this helps!

It may just be recognizing that it has major system changes that could potentially be dangerous if they were installed from a bad source

The files are from the Microsoft Update Catalog and are fine. The arrow just shows the filename, no options,

Updates2.jpg

and the blue link just opens Windows Help and Support at the getting started with Internet Explorer page, there's no information there that helps.

What happens when you let the operating system perform a normal update through the Windows Update interface?

I assume it works fine, but I do my updates offline. I have a limited download capacity and want the files handy for if/when I have to re-install Windows.
This only happened after my last Windows and Security updates so I assume they have changed some security setting.
If anybody has an idea of what that might be I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Just not, please, an answer to boost your user rating.

It's an answer designed to point out imbecility, not boost ratings. I could not care less about points.

Files are in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

You can keep them from there after a normal update for as long as the sun burns bright.

People of your type create their own issues and then expect the whole world to jump through hoops to try to figure out how their "way" should go. Ya...um, no.

My comment wasn't actually aimed at you, but it obviously hit a nerve.
