Windows 8 Failed to update reverting changes error

I have a Acer Windows 8 computer and its stuck on reverting update changes and restarting. It says "Failed configuring Windows Updates Reverting changes" then restarts and then does that again. I cannot go to the desktop. How do I fix this?

don't have a answer, but do have a suggestion ,its the weekend and all helpers are volunteers ,hang tough , someone will come along

Seems like others are having this same issue as well because you are the 3rd report within the last 2 days. This thread has offered many solutions that have not worked for the OP but some or one may work for you. Have a peek here because if we can solve 1, we will probably solve all 3 complaints:

It reverts then restarts. Then it does that again. Its an never ending loop.
