    is windows 8 developer preview is free or we have to activate it


    i have started to download w 8 ,but i have one questuion the it is free ware?

    More like a cross between win 7 ultimate and a cash machine. Dont see Metro in an enterprise PC environment. We will all have to wait and see

    Nightbird. I have a feeling you are not totally in the picture with this?

    The "Developer" preview is pretty much as it says. At this stage, it may not relate 100% or much less, to the Beta and final release. Ir's primary purpose is to supply early feedback from the general public. I am sure, if MS spot any major complaints (there have been a few) then it will be modiifed to satisfy that, before the next puiblic release.
    You are welcome to install it as many times as you wish. You will find problems, which are to be expected. Be aware though, that the release will expire, and become non-functional, in March.
