I’m new to this forum & Windows 7. Being an old XP user I’m still in a learning mode but won’t go into my feelings about this new OS; beginning to like it more as I learn. Hope I'm in the right forum.
My machine is a bare bones from Tiger Direct of which I ordered Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit. After installing that, I decided about 2 month’s later to do the Windows Live Anytime Upgrade to Pro. Since I’ve up graded to Pro every few days I get a popup asking for me to activate my copy. This started after a MS auto update. After doing a Google search I came across an article about one of the updates KB 971033 being the culprit and to uninstall it & then hide it, which I did. It was gone for some 3 weeks or more, but recently the activation popup is back, yet the KB is still hidden. When the popup occurs, I start to move my mouse toward it & it vanishes.
I’ve not experienced any unusual behavior because of this, it’s just annoying.
