Solved Windows Update History has disappeared

I recently checked my Windows update history and found that two of my recent updates had failed. I activated the Update Troubleshooter and it found a couple of errors, which it corrected. Now, when I check my update history, it says, "You have not tried to install any updates for your computer". This is clearly wrong, but does is matter?

Hello Curt, and welcome to Eight Forums.

It sounds like the troubleshooter reset and cleared your Windows Update history. It's nothing to worry about though since it doesn't uninstall your Windows Updates, but only clears their history log.

You could do a system restore using a restore point dated before this to restore the history, but personally I wouldn't worry about it.

I had problem with mine this week also and the fix cleared my history. Just run WU and see if it is now working correctly.

mine says "updates were installed: Never" it seems that ALL updates that WERE on my computer are now GONE!!! I have this problem since the error, "we couldn't complete the updates. undoing changes". so 12 updates failing REMOVES 150 updates that it is asking me to redownload!!!
