I've just gotten a Windows 8 computer. I have metered satellite internet access and would like to limit downloads of Windows updates to my wee hours of the morning "Bonus" download interval.
By default, Windows Updates are part of "Automatic Maintenance". You could use the tutorial below to set the time you want "Automatic Maintenance" to wake up the computer and run.
Thanks for the reply Shawn but I'm not sure it's apropos my issue. I think this schedules when updates are executed. I need to schedule when they are downloaded in order to conserve my daily bandwidth limit. On my Satellite link, I'm allowed only 15 G per month but another 15 G is available between 02:00 and 05:00 ET. So, I like to schedule automated downloads, when I can, to occur during the "Bonus" period.
