It says the Product Key is only valid for an upgrade install, whereas I have done a clean install, not wanting to drag any of Win7's junk and baggage into 8. Is there any simple way to trick the licensing service into thinking this is an upgrade install so it will activate? I read another post on EightForums that seems to imply that it can be done by doing a refresh, but i'd rather not. I purchased this key over a month ago directly from Microsoft online, and also have another upgrade key that I bought from Wal-Mart which I intend to use with my ASUS UltraBook. But neither key has been used to activate, ever.
Thanks for any help!
