I usually have a total of 50 to 60 processes running with IE10/iTunes/MetroTwit open, but over the last week or so it's been sitting at more than 100. Yikes! Starting to think I had picked up a virus or something.

But after today's two updates (KB2764462 & KB2777294) it's gone back down to normal. Interesting...

I haven't been able to get windows 8 updates since Nov 20th. I keep getting an error 80244FFF. I have tried the the system windows update repair tool. Nothing works. Where can I get the windows 8 updates without having to go through their windows update?

Hi there
There are 2 updates that always cause a roll back for a lot of people at 15%.
(Not THE 2 updates listed in the previous post -these are diffent and fine).

Hide these and everything should then work as normal.

I'm not sure that the 2 offending updates are actually critical --they'll get fixed in due course via Service pack.

Can't rememeber the numbers but search the forum for the 2 offending fixes.

Cheers
jimbo

The rest of the updates were office updates
I noticed visual studio updates are dated Nov 28...I didn't see them install, or even know they were installed!
Do you anything about the error code I keep getting when trying to use Windows Update? Thank you for your reply.

I just wanted to compare your updates with mine and you have all the updates appear on my Installed Updates, I have no clue about the Error code but I can assure you that you are up to date with updates as far as I could see.
