Solved Frozen on update, any suggestions

I just installed adobe reader and had to restart my computer after the install. My system has been stuck at 12% of "Configuring windows update" for about 30 minutes now. Even though it said not to restart the computer, I tried that anyways. It restarts at 7% of the update and then works its way back up to 12% where it freezes again. I'm very new to windows 8 and would appreciate any help that can be give.

I saw in some posts, people were asking what specific computer I was running. Below is my computers info.

Hp Pavilion, Model Number: g4-2235dx

I take it you're posting from another computer? If so, please fill out your specs in your profile.

Safe mode is not added to boot menu by default. Did you add that by any chance? What install media did you use? Hopefully an ISO. Of so, boot from that and use repair option.
