It kind of makes me wonder what the OS share was of vista's beta versus 7's versus xp's...

This has kind of been gone over in the past few months. It could be that some people just kicked around the tires, didn't have the time to install needed software to use it daily, didn't like it, didn't work, ect., or just that some people don't see a huge need to test out a new Windows version when 7 is already stable and solid. 8 just expands on that a bit further.

Right. I adopted Windows 7 as my primary OS since build 7100.

MS has totally ignored the large number of complaints and only listened to the small amount of praise. :rolleyes:

Ditto
I started using W7 from build 7047 and it became my main OS around build 7100.
There were some changes in W7 (compared to XP) that I didn't like, but overall it was pleasant to use, unlike W8.
