I'd rather have a Nokia Lumia than a Samsung handset as those are just flat giant iphones with no class to them and loaded with gimmicks.
Lot's of people at work upgraded from Samsung S3's to S4's and S5's. Everybody that I know with a Samsung handset is pretty damn happy, and that includes my wife and myself. I have an S3, and I'm eligible for an upgrade at work, but I like my S3 so much and even thought it's over 2 years old, I have no desire to switch.
Hi there
While I like the Windows Phone system I really don't like those old square "Brick" over coloured and garish looking Lumia's --I think these would appeal more to 10 - 12 year old Schoolgirls.
Ms needs to hire some decent probably slightly "Gay-ish" Italian designers who'd come up with really sleek Models --I'd buy a nice thin Metal thin one in a flash (but please no SQUARE corners -- they aren't very comfortable in a pocket).
I'm sure this would distinguish it from (IMO) the excellent Samsung S4/S5's and would definitely appeal to a decent (not Mass) market -- Apple have done the same for ages with their high end computers - forget about "The Masses" and concentrate on a decent but STUNNING looking product.
In a Mature Market that's the only game in town --you have to distinguish yourself from all the other "Also rans".
People also miss the whole point of the SP3 -- it's NOT simply a TABLET but a CONVERTIBLE dual purpose device - very portable and will be successful within its niche market. These Convertible type devices will be increasingly the way of the future for Mobile workers. (Instead of a Laptop ands say an Ipad this device fulfils BOTH roles).
(In any case isn't a PC merely a Tablet with a Fixed screen and built in keyboard !!!!). Don't forget the SP3 can have a nice i7 processor and you can attach all manner of peripherals when using it in an Office or at Home.
Printing is also a breeze these days with Wifi printers etc.
Ms of course is spending a lot of money on trying to get into what it sees is a gap in the market - only Lenovo have gone into "The convertible" type of form factor - and while cheaper they are still very fiddly to use - -- so MS hire some designers to create DECENT Handsets for your currently HIDEOUS models --the OS is fine, and to Lenovo - Hire some Engineers to sort out the cack handed way you have to fiddle with removing the Screen to operate your convertibles in "Tablet Mode".
Cheers
