Office 15 goes into technical preview
Office 15 goes into technical preview
Seems as if Office 2010 has only been out for a little while, but that just proves time flies when you're having fun. The next version of Office (currently called "Office 15") is already ready to go into technical preview, where it will be tested by a select group of Microsoft customers (who sign non-disclosure agreements promising not to share anything about it with the public). It's too late to get into the technical preview but if you're itching to try it out, don't despair. The Office Exec blog has announced that there will be a public beta this summer and as quickly as time goes by these days, that's right around the corner.
The big question on many users' minds is whether or not Office 15 will have the Metro touch interface. That is, will it be an "app" written for the new Windows 8 touch-centric interface, or a traditional type of application that runs in desktop mode or some strange hybrid of the two. Mary Jo Foley tackles those questions and adds a few more in her recent ZDNet blog post.
Office 2010 has already given me everything I need. This latest version should come up with something totally new, and yes be well integrated with the metro thing in Win 8. Or, I will let the old version sit little longer on my rigs

Windows 8 Consumer Preview x64
I've read that Office 15 WILL NOT have a full metro app suite. Apparently, there was some time constraints, and will launch on an ARM Desktop, but will be more touch friendly. I didn't read the article posted, so I don't know if I'm rehashing the same thing.

Office 2007 is totally good to work with. After upgrading it with SP1, there is additional feature that we can save the file as personal digital file (PDF).
But I briefly noticed that the PDF produced by Office 2007 SP1 randomly missed several letters when printed out though it were there when I read it on the screen.

Kevin? PDF stands for (P)ortable (D)ocument (F)ormat, not (P)ersonal (D)igital (F)ile.
