Hi all

This is the sort of device I was suggesting is what a future PC would morph into - in another thread where poople were saying that " the PC is Dead" (another typical Imbecellic Pontification from the Gartner Organisation).

Well ANYTHING the Gartner Organisation / Group says is usually only 50% right -- about the same probability as you'd get by Random guessing.

So is this device a "PC" or a "Tablet".

A removable screen so it could work as a tablet combined with a light conventional type Netbook docking station (Lid, case, keyboard, USB / I/O port attachments, possibly internal HDD) would be "just what the doctor ordered".

Travelling a lot it's just not possible to rely on a tablet alone -- I defy anybody to do complex presentations (powerpoint) or Excel spreadsheets without a keyboard and mouse (or touch pen device).

Reading them / watching movies etc is another matter so a computer that can operate in "Tablet mode" when required is a great idea.

Cheers
jimbo
