64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate & Windows 8 Consumer Preview
OEMs Consider Switching to Windows 8 Tablets to Avoid Price War with..
Amazon did more than just throw down the gauntlet when it announced its $200 Kindle Fire tablet, the e-tailer may have also scared off some of the competition altogether. Oddly enough, the Kindle Fire might actually help Microsoft increase its presence in the mobile market, as OEMs look to Windows 8-based slates in order to avoid a price war among Android tablets.
I remember that a Dell VP announced earlier this year that they would come out with a Win8 tablet in 1Q 2012. And HP does not have many options left after they canned their own efforts.
HP has not stoped making tablets which may be unknown by many people. They fired the CEO and brought in a new one. The HP OS tablet is dead in the water but not the Windows tablets. You need to keep up one the info. Even the news was talking about HP's new CEO because they hired a Women as did IBM for there CEO.
