You clearly are not paying attention to what's going on in the enterprise space, or you couldn't say that with a straight face. There's at least 3x more going on in the enterprise space as the mobile or desktop space.

LOL.. I'm very much aware of the magnitude of enterprise development - I was referring to their dropping support for the enterprise dev...and would most likely offer more support for store development.. am I missing something?

I'm talking about what's going on in the System Center products, Windows Server products, SQL Server products, Azure, Dynamics, etc.. etc.. Microsoft actually sees mobile as playing a huge part of Enterprise, which is what InTune is all about.

I'm pretty sure anyone seriously concerned with enterprise development is already on MSDN, which has less restrictions than TechNet, activated products are usable longer, there are fewer restrictions on product usage in dev and testing, Visual Studio is included in all but the most lowly of subs, and technical support incidents for anything but a critsit in a dev / test environment are included at all levels of subscription.

Assuming we're talking about actual enterprise development and testing, that's what MSDN subs are for. I know it's not a popular opinion in some corners of the internet, but it's still the truth.

...if M$ thinks losing $34 billion dollars in equity in a few days is bad.. they better heed this sort of advice...

Speaking at a conference this year, Jeff Udden, founder of ValueAct, called for the company to reduce its focus on consumers. His remedy for Microsoft would involve a focus on its business customers and a move into the cloud, using its Azure operating system and investments in data centres to create the world’s leading cloud computing platform.
That argument has resonated with other investors for much of this year, contributing to a jump of more than a third in the share price and adding $80bn to Microsoft’s stock market value before last week’s rude awakening.
Like many others on Wall Street, Mr Thill still argues that the fruits of its success with business customers – such as a 12 per cent increase in deferred revenues booked in the latest quarter – show where Microsoft should refocus its efforts. “They know what they need to do, they have a playbook,” he said.
