    I assumed that since windows 8 is based on windows 7 that the same settings I always use for W7 would work for W8.
    Here's my setup which gives me error code 0xc0000225

    Win8 Pro x64


    It doesn't ask which drive to install too like Win7 did...hmmmmm. So much for the dual boot idea, going to try to install on older test machine.

    ETA - this was from within Windows. Booted to USB and it installed just like Win7, but faster. There seems to be a lot more to Win8 than I was expecting.

    Installed on separate drive alongside Windows 7 I had to unplug the Windows 7 drive to install on blank formatted drive.
