ZDNet WIN 8 Article by Larry Dignan "Can Windows 8 Really Do It All?

    Hi Folks,

Here is an article released today on ZDNet which includes a couple of short informational video's on the new GUI and a number of comments posted by Interested Parties.

Interesting to me because I haven't yet loaded "WIN 8" and started to play yet like many of you already have. Shadowjk provided a link for me and others to go to but I haven't gotten to it yet.

I'm thinking of putting yet another hard drive in my confuser and beginning to experiment and learn the intricacies of WIN 8 which is how I have approached the last three offerings from Microsoft. It looks to me like the new UI would be more likely to be used in the smaller hand held gadgets but I can't think of how they will be able to integrate the kind of hardware that would be necessary to run WIN8 in terms of the resource hog it must be; No prob in a desktop like this one but how do you get this kinda hardware in a smartphone?

After seeing these video's I'm not yet sure of how I feel about the new UI but it looks like we can keep the Aero interface if we choose to.

I have two PC Desktops and a single Apple Laptop in my Home-based LAN and I'm not very much into the smaller gadgets Hell, I only carry a cell phone because my wifey makes me!evil:

    Can't stand the darn thing!

Anyway, To read the article, Clicky: Can Microsoft's Windows 8 really do it all? | ZDNet

Windows 8 is starting to look like MSFT's version of the Swiss Knife.

Thank heaven Windows 7 is a solid operating system.
