Windows 8 Preview: 23 New Features You Should Know About

Still a year or more from final release, the next version of Windows has been
making its fair share of appearances on leak sites in recent months. Codenamed
Windows Next, the OS release we’ve come to know as Windows 8 will look much like
its recent predecessors on the surface, but looks to be getting a serious revamp
from the kernel up.

The rumors are coming in fast but, as with any unreleased software, it’s hard
to be certain which of the rumored features will make it into the final product,
which will wind up on the cutting room floor, and which never existed in the
first place. We’ve taken a look at all the rumors, all the leaked screenshots,
and a few screens we’re pretty sure were flat-out faked, and we’re ready to make
a few prognostications about what to expect in Windows 8. We’ll approach this
category-by-category........

Nice things about Windows 8 :) I want to release all of this features to Windows 8, because it really needs it. This feature "System Reset" should be in Windows 8 (Probability: 90%) according to me. I mentioned this because according to Maximum PC they have posted for feature "System Reset" will be 50 % probability. But is early to know all the features of this Windows. Anyway, thanks for the post Shawn.

System Reset is included in early builds, which is why its set for 90%. The only downside is for the time being you have to have the installation media to revert, Which is not a bad thing to prevent baddies for infecting it.

Not that I would have hands on experience with these builds :ninja:

Facial recognition uses various points on the face, like 80 different points. Such things as distance between the eyes, width of the nose, depth of the eye sockets, the shape of the cheekbones, the length of the jaw line. I believe biometrics maps the skin and changes the info into an algorithm. It's possible if the implementation isn't good, it may be thrown off by outrageous facial hair. :)

IMO, the world used to be a multi-national society. Along comes jets, computers, cell phones, blah blah blah, and blah blah blah and we are becoming a single society world. Used to be, and mostly still is, a gazillion personal computers storing things, but it seems we are heading towars a one computer world. That computer being the Cloud. Work with me a little here please TB.

My grandchildren will probably follow the yellow brick computer world road to the end and find Bill Gates' grandchildren using a #2 pencil and yellow lined pad behind the screen. The Circle of Life.

And yeah, the Cloud, the stupid One that is gonna be an addition to the crapware the world has
already invented for [DEL]mankind[/DEL] misuse.

BTW, don't you miss your wife since you had a divorce?
