Windows 8: Windows App Store screenshots leak? | WinRumorsMicrosoft’s Windows App Store screenshots appear to have leaked for the first time on Monday.
The screenshots show Microsoft’s new application store for Windows. The store appears to be running in Windows 7, hinting that the software giant may also be planning to offer its app store for legacy versions of Windows. Cnbeta posted the screenshots on Monday, however WinRumors is unable to confirm their authenticity at this time. The screenshots appear to show a number of Microsoft’s own software, including third party software from Opera and Mozilla.

I just hope it does not end up like Games for Windows Live when we were promised Tinker and Texas Hold Em and possibly more free games and settled for only a flawed Tinker. The store would also contain 5% of free content that is now already available such as IE, Windows Live Mail - etc. and the rest paid apps eventually leading to a small fee for even formally free ones (example IE standard - free or a version with extras for $9.99).
