Angry game dev slams Microsoft Windows RT

Paul Johnson of Rubicon says his company spent some $16,000 porting a flagship game (Great Big War) to Windows RT, which has thus far only generated $83 its first week on sale.

"A week after release we have made the princely sum of £52 ($83) in sales. That's not a typo. And despite this, and the fact that GBWG is one of only several halfway decent launch titles, Microsoft have confirmed they will not give us any promotional features or help us with visibility in any way," Johnson wrote in an angry blog post.

Misplaced anger? I think so.

EDIT: Never mind. MS listened to his complaints and relented.

I think I recently read about this.

Apparently, Microsoft responded to the developer and fixed the situation...

Have to give him credit for getting himself all the attention. I mean with all the attention he's drawn to himself he practically got free promotion. I had some respect for him until he went all 180 after they were nice to him. What a drama queen.

is the game even any good? is the question i'd be asking...

surely this guy was aware that surface was going to take some time to gather traction and the market(store) would take time as well to mature and gain popularity?

it's not like tablet/phone games are going to be very popular on desktops anytime soon when you can just play shogun total war or something like that....
