Thread: Stalls for 30 sec when opening new TAB

I have a Quad processor with Windows 7 - 8 Gig or RAM and Windows 7 stalls ( stops me from doing anything in any of the tabs ) when I open a new tab for 30 seconds or so. It never use to do this. I uninstalled IE 8 and but made no difference. It must be a setting I have wrong.

Using Norton Internet Security 2010
Lexmark printer - new
Google Tool bar and that is all the add ons.

I have tried this with out the about addons and with no start up and still the same.
