Solved After Nero install -- Don't have permission to Mount an ISO any more

Hi there
After installing Nero on W8 I now can't mount any Virtual ISO's any more -- get this message even as super user - administrator etc etc.
Uninstalling Nero still leaves the same problem
Any ideas anyone other than do a W8 image recovery which I shouldn't have to do.
I've looked for where Windows gets Mount permissions from but can't find it -- in Linux it's easy !!!.
Mounting virtual ISO's is one of the nice things about W8 --if I can't use it I might as well give up.
OK Nero isn't the best software any more but it works (normally) so I didn't expect this type of error.

Using Windows 8 Enterprise from TechNet (X-64).

Hello Jimbo,
Have you already tried doing a
system restore using a restore point dated before you installed Nero and were able to mount ISO files?

Me too. I now burn images with the built in functionality.
For creating some custom ISO's from files/folders, I use InfraRecorder which doesn't interact/mess with the shell or file associations.
Keep it simple.

Hi there
tried changing file association etc.
Restore from Acronis backup fixed the problem -- I only used Nero because I wanted to create some AUDIO CD's (physical) from FLAC files which Nero does fine (with the free maga plugin pack) and also copy these to some Minidisc equipment --still works fine. Still play these in a Car - don't have an Ipod so Ipod dock no use.
Got round the problem --since I have a W2003 server virtual VM installed Nero on that and it's fine on the VM.
BTW after restoring the image virtual mount is fine so it was something in Nero (Version 9 -- anything later is just too hideous to even THINK of using).
cheers
jimbo
(Added -- Nero Version 7 --really old release works fine !!!! so don't upgrade these sorts of programs unless you have to -- all I wanted was create Audio CD from FLAC for data CD / DVD I can use built in W8 functionality).
