I'm trying to run Windows 8 in VirtualBox on my Windows 7 PC. However, every time I start the virtual machine, I am greeted with this message.

Audio continues to work on both the host and guest OS. What is the problem and how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance!:thumb:

I would simply install the latest available driver in the host operating system and see how it goes.

If Realtek: Realtek

There may be some interesting details if you click the arrow thing to show them. If you'd like, you're welcome to post a screenshot of it showing that too.

There is no real problem. Just check the box "Do not show this message again". I got that message too and ignored it - no problem.

Thanks for replying GMan and whs!

Here's a detailed screenshot of the warning. It appears that the problem is something to do with the host's audio system:

I use the standard Microsoft HD Audio drivers and they are up to date already, might it be beneficial to install the Realtek drivers instead?
