LM 17 (QIANA) HOST Windows 8.1 runs fine as a VM

Hi there.

For people just testing the latest LM 17 (Linux Mint QIANA) --it works fine as a HOST with a W8.1 VM running on it. Screenshot of LM17 with KDE desktop running from EXTERNAL SSD as Host with W8.1 update 1 as a Guest.

The console (terminal) part of the screenshot shows Linux version being run.

(Only 1 minor glitch -- can't seem to find any command to start and stop SAMBA any more -- services SMBD / NMBD don't seem to exist or are packaged somewhere else -- otherwise all the shares etc work OK and maybe you don't need to restart the service any more on changes). (Services smbd and nmbd start / restart just give job not found).

I re-installed and did UPDATES before adding any packages -- all working OK now.

If you choose to install KDE-FULL on LM17 you won't be able to set up an external monitor in system settings unless you install KSCREEN as well (it's missing from the KDE-Full package -- simply sudo apt-get install kscreen and then it all will work properly).

without kscreen you won't see anything other than the default monitor in the configuration.
